Krishna Buildestates has completed the Trillium Data Centre, a state-of-the-art data facility developed for Sify through AUHIL in Sector 132, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Spanning 5,00,000 sq. ft, this eight-story building stands as one of the largest data centres in Noida, with a unique design that allows up to 1 million sq.ft. of future expansion. Strategically positioned in a rapidly growing tech hub, the facility adheres to stringent international standards for structural safety, data security (both physical and electronic), and environmental sustainability, making it a pioneering example of modern data infrastructure.

Engineering Excellence and Structural Integrity

The Trillium Data Centre is engineered to support six times the load of a conventional commercial structure of similar size, ensuring resilience for high-density server configurations and mission-critical operations. The use of aluminium shuttering enabled seamless vertical column casting with self-compacting Concrete in single pours up to 6 metres, ensuring structural uniformity and integrity. Modular 10.8m x 10.8m grids provide unparalleled flexibility, allowing clients to customise server layouts and adapt to evolving technological needs.

To address the challenges of constructing a facility of this scale, KBE employed two floor-standing tower cranes for lifting materials to upper floors and heavy-duty hydraulic cranes for lifting prefabricated steel structures to heights of 65 metres. This approach streamlined the installation of critical components while maintaining safety and precision.

Sustainability and Green Building Practices

Sustainability was a cornerstone of the project’s design and execution. From material selection to waste management and energy efficiency, the project aimed to follow green building practices, ensuring compliance with global environmental standards. The high-reflective glass facade, made of specially selected UV-resistant glass, on one side of the building minimises solar heat gain, effectively reducing the building’s HVAC load—a critical consideration for energy-intensive data centres. Lightweight Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks were used for partitions, enhancing the thermal efficiency and reducing the structural load. The concrete mix incorporated fly ash to ensure eco-friendly material usage. Mechanical steel couplers replaced traditional lapping methods, significantly reducing steel scrap generation and ensuring seamless and stronger joint integrity.

Operational Scalability and Security

The project prioritises adaptability and 10-tier security, ensuring compliance with stringent international standards for both physical and electronic data security. The facility is designed to be expandable, allowing for future growth without disrupting existing operations. This scalability, combined with robust security measures, makes Trillium an ideal location for critical data infrastructure.

With a contract value of Rs. 227.15 Cr, the project highlights Krishna Buildestates Pvt. Ltd.’s expertise in delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure while adhering to timelines and budgetary commitments.

Director’s Perspective

“We are proud to have completed this greenfield data centre, one of the few in India built to such exacting standards. The structural challenges—from designing for six times conventional loads to executing single-pour concrete heights—required meticulous planning and collaboration with trusted vendors for top-quality materials like steel, cement, and RMC. We are humbled by the trust placed in us by Sify Chairman Mr. Raju Ji and AUHIL’s Mr. Gurdeep Singh Ji. Their vision, combined with the dedication of both teams, has resulted in an iconic facility ready to withstand the test of time. We look forward to replicating this success in future data centre projects,” said Rahul Bahl, Managing Director, Krishna Buildestates Pvt. Ltd.
