LYSAGHT SMARTDEK™ 51 Structural Decking System:

LYSAGHT SMARTDEK™ 51 Structural Decking System is an innovative high strength zinc - coated steel decking system designed for use in the construction of composite floor slabs. It is specifically developed for the Indian construction industry and is one of the most economical structural steel decking in the country.

SMARTDEK™ 51 is suitable for typical applications as it provides widest cover per weight of steel and also minimizes the requirement for reinforcement.

SMARTDEK™ 51 panels are manufactured from high strength galvanised steel with Z275 (min 275g / m2zinc coating) as per AS 1397 or equivalent standard. It has a rib depth of Nominal 51 mm and provides an effective cover width of nominal 960mm. The embossments (shear grove) on the side of ribs and top of the flange provide excellent mechanical interlocking between steel and concrete (i.e. composite action). In the assembled state, the profile compromises of intermediate male and female ribs for every interlocking side - lap joint. The available thickness ranges from 0.70 mm to 1.2 mm BMT (Base Metal Thickness). The steel conforms to AS1397 and BS EN 10147:2000.

Software: Excel based SMARTDEK™ 51 software and MEGAFLOOR® structural decking software for the design of composite slabs with SMARTDEK™ 51 profile are available to assist engineers and consultants in deriving an optimal solution. These powerful tools facilitate quick and optimized composite slab designs up to 4 hours of fire rating.

SMARTDEK™ 51 systems provide a safe working platform and acts as an integral structural element to the composite slab. Its unique profile features combined with high strength steel of minimum 550MP a yield strength provides large un - propped spans.
