What initiatives is the company taking to create eco-friendly and sustainable roofing paints?

Our R&D is focused on using more and more natural products to make eco-friendly and sustainable roofing paints, as we have reduced usage of polymers and binders. While manufacturing, we also reuse the waste water. Our aim is to find ways in which we can save and preserve our resources for the future and create eco-friendly and sustainable products. For example, our Cool Roof paints help in reducing 10 tons of CO2 per 1000 sq.ft. for 20 years. Though their higher pricing and wider adoption are big challenges compared to some ordinary white paints, which, however, do not preform so well.

We re-use production wastewater and we dispose used materials to re-users so that the non-usable materials can be used further to maximize their life. We have reduced our electricity consumption with high-tech designed machine and processes.

Our products have Type 1 Eco Label certification, which is a logo of trust and authenticity for green buildings. We undertake random testing and follow stringent QC processes for our raw materials, which makes our quality consistent for application on site. Plus, all our products are easy to apply.

Make eco-friendly and sustainable roofing paints

What are the features of your Cool Roof paint?

Our product Summer Seal is a passive cooling Cool Roof paint; it is made up of 73% natural materials, which makes it more eco-friendly and a low carbon product. Using more natural materials makes its performance better and stable for a longer time, as it will not turn yellow over time since natural materials are stable and give a longer lasting performance.

Summer Seal is formulated in a single pack for trouble-free application. Since there is no need for a primer or a topcoat, it becomes a low carbon product. We are manufacturing three lakh litres of Summer Seal per month, and thereby reducing 4500 tons of our carbon footprint per year.

Which segment of users is your company catering to?

Our major customers are industrial units and warehouses as they need more heat reduction and energy saving solutions, besides which, they have a large infrastructure hence the UHI (urban heat island) effect in these buildings is high; they, therefore, need the right solutions for UHI reduction. To meet the requirements of different industries, we make products that can be used in all kinds of surfaces with a trouble-free and dynamic application.
