ALSTONE launches PVC etched laminates first time in India

Alstone's latest Multi Décor collection of PVC wall cladding is a decorative surfacing material, which comes in thicknesses of 1mm, 3mm, 5mm and 18mm, and can be used for different applications. The 3mm Multi Décor has a density of 1800kg/m3 and can be substituted for 1mm PVC wall paneling. It is a very strong material as it comes as a single sheet, and due to its thickness, it can be used independently in various applications without the support of any substrate, It is available in 98 colors and in solid, sparkle, wooden, marble and abstract shades and designs.

For creating a multipurpose area, the 3mm Multi Décor sheets can double up as partitions, while also beautifying the space. One can either paste the sheets on the existing partitions or use them as independent sheets for making the partitions, as they are much stronger and do not require any support of substrate, and can also be used as doors.

To renovate ceilings in minimal time and cost, the 5mm Multi Décor can be simply cut into small panels and fixed on the ceiling to impart a fresh look to the room. No mica or laminate is required for the tedious task of pasting and covering the surface of the old ceiling. It can also protect walls and surfaces in damp areas when used as wall cladding as it is 100% water- and termite proof and anti-bacteria. Its rough inner surface has a huge advantage over other PVC mica as it enables greater and stronger adhesion on any type of substrate like Plywood, MDF, Wood Polymer Composite (WPC), or other particle boards, using any white glue. It comes in infinite shades and attractive designs for cladding pillars and columns and for brightening up dull spaces.

The 1mm Multi Décor is very hygienic and free from toxins like formaldehyde and lead, which makes it very safe for children and the elderly. Its anti-microbial surface is bacteria and fungus resistant, plus it is 100% water-proof, 100% fire-retardant, 100% termite and borer proof.

While the 3mm Multi Décor is best suited for humid and moist areas like bathrooms and kitchens, the 5mm is easy to bend up to 90 degrees, which makes it a good solution for edge bending tapes. The etched technology protects it from heat, shock, fingerprints and accidental abrasion, so the surface remains fresh and durable throughout its lifecycle.
