The Germany-based interior furnishing giant, Avant, in a recent move has launched its flooring panel in the northern markets via its joint venture partner NCC Urban, which is a subsidiary of Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited. In its aggressive schemes of things, the company aims to capture 30% of the Rs.550cr wooden flooring markets in the next two years, said Enterprises Director - Business Development, Philip Mazloumian. As of now the player manufactures panels at Fujian, China and distributes globally from its Dubai-based distribution network. In case the company gets good volume from India, it may consider setting up a manufacturing facility in the country. Elaborating further he said claiming that if India turns out to be a very profitable country for the player it would be able to offer its flooring products at reduced rates from the local manufacturing facility.
