Profine India Window Technology Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of profine Group, Germany is quite upbeat about responses it is currently receiving from the domestic market. "This is all a reflection of the increased awareness about the authenticity of the material at the consumer level," said Mr. Farid Khan, the company's Director & CEO. "No doubt that the market is flooded with cheap profiles, but soon there will be a greater transition towards the quality window systems as people have started realizing the importance of branded high-quality products," he added.
MGS Architecture got hold with the profine team during the recently concluded fenesterbau/frontale India 2015 in Bangalore, wherein the company had displayed its gamut of products including lift & slide door, tilt & turn window, casement window, SF2 Door system and 3-track 3 sash sliding window with flymesh. The German uPVC profile major, profine GmbH is better known for its Kömmerling brand in India.
Speaking on the acceptance of the newly launched 3-track sliding system, Mr. Khan said, "Being a popular alternative to the conventional casement systems, the product is well-received due to the ongoing trend of larger open spaces in the contemporary architectures including residential, hotels, schools and commercial buildings." According to him, European standards construction, capability to accommodate single or double glazed units, heat and sound insulation properties and greenline certification etc., are some of the prominent features of Koemmerling systems which are expected to further drive the demand in the Indian market.
Kömmerling systems are fully compliant to technical specification as set forth in European standard EN 12608. Profile section and thickness are designed to minimize fabrication wastage thus reduce the window cost. The multiple chamber system design of the profiles enhances heat and sound insulation properties of the final product. The range of systems are capable of accepting a wide variety of single or double glazed units by choosing different sized glazing beads, depending on the requirement.
