How has the Indian fenestration market grown with respect to modern systems?

The Indian market has grown substantially with respect to acceptance of latest technologies especially in fenestration systems. Awareness has been created by leading manufacturers considering the long-term benefits with respect to energy savings, safety and security of the buildings. Convincing the clients to come out from traditional systems is always challenging, however, now with many corporates focussed on high safety and security, people are willing to look beyond traditions and willing to try out new that is practiced at International levels. However, the budget has always been a constraint when it comes to trying high-end technology, which may not be budgeted at the time of financial planning.

What new growth opportunities do you foresee for GEZE products in the Indian market?

GEZE, being a pioneer in providing safety and security systems for fenestration, foresees a lot of growth opportunities in the coming years in the Indian market. Especially, when it comes to safety and security of people in high-rise buildings during a fire, GEZE systems help the smoke to extract through the natural ventilation system, thereby, making people exit safely. GEZE has grown at 30% over the previous year. Even though our systems (automatic window opening system and Heat & Smoke ventilation system) are value-added solutions, still the demand is growing because of the advantages our systems provide to the end-customer.

In the last one year, GEZE has been very aggressive in its marketing activities. Going forward, we are planning to participate in one of the leading exhibitions (in the next financial year), have customized get togethers for architects and consultants, and we have started advertising pan India in magazines related to construction industry and also region specific.

What differentiates Geze products from other brands?
Innovation and flexibility. GEZE Germany is well known in the market for innovation of new products especially in Fenestration. Most of their innovative designs have fetched many awards viz Red Dot design and the Plus X award. When it comes to flexibility, GEZE technology can always be integrated with external security systems, which makes it easy for the customers to integrate between the systems. For example, the window opening device can always be connected to any Building Management system provided by manufacturers like Honeywell, Siemens, etc.
