Halonix Technologies is pushing the credo of Make in India through in-house manufacturing expertise as it plans to play a key role in supplying smart lighting solutions for Smart Cities development projects across the country. Driven by Make in India and Make for India, Halonix (India’s 1st lighting brand to get a BIS certification for its LED street lights) is also amongst India’s first few manufacturers of CFLs.
With the widest range of products across LED, Luminaires, Home Decorative Lighting, Commercial & Industrial Lighting, Street Lighting, Flood Lighting, Halogens and High Intensity Discharge Lamps, Halonix is one of the largest players in the LED lighting segment in the country. It has a fully accredited NABL laboratory in its manufacturing facility in Haridwar, where products are developed in-house for the Indian market. The company has been accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certifications.
The company plans to break into newer markets and achieve over 20-22% y-o-y growth rate and aims to achieve its targeted revenue of ₹1,000 crore in the next five years. We plan to expand aggressively in the west and south India as we are already strong in the northern and eastern markets.
From which sectors is demand coming: Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial?
High energy saving, low costs, modular designs and ease of use have made LEDs the first choice in all the sectors. Moreover, the Government is also doing a commendable job in promoting the LED market segment by introducing schemes like LED bulb distribution under domestic efficient lighting programme in Delhi, and the National Programme for LED-based Home and Street Lighting, besides distributing free LED lights in rural area.

The current trends being observed include designing ceiling through installation of LED luminaries, using small lights in a series for brighter effects, luminaries in tube style, LED luminaries with features like adjustable color temperature, LED strips, reflector LED lamps, downlighters, LED spots and LED panel lights.
