"Duravit has undertaken sustainability and environment friendliness as a key area for its further innovations. Asutosh Shah, MD, Duravit India"

The Indian market is growing, especially in urban regions. Changes in lifestyle in different cities across the country support the acceptance of designer brands like Duravit. In fact, there is a lot of awareness of Duravit products as it is a renowned brand offering high quality solutions. Moreover, Duravit regularly updates its range of products and services integrating customer needs and wishes.

Duravit has responded decisively to demand for quality, energy efficient products and solutions by Indian consumers by setting up a plant in India and building a complete infrastructure to exploit the market opportunity present here. It's obvious that Duravit is aggressively pursuing its strategy to develop sales in the region now.

Duravit Dura Style

The company has introduced many new series at its India plant such as the well-known series by Phillipe Starck. Dura Style is next in line from designer Matteo Thun & Partners. Duravit India is also developing waterless urinal and an electronic version of the urinal that will save water in huge quantities.

Duravit's energy-saving products include the light and colour programs with LEDs that cut electricity consumption by two thirds. Illuminant technology of e-mood series based on LED technology offers four major ecological advantages: LEDs have lower energy consumption than classical electrical bulbs (less watt-hours). They have a longer product lifecycle than other illuminants (sustainability of production and material consumption).

LED technology allows higher flexibility and freedom in furniture design as LEDs have a much smaller installation height (only 3-4 mm) as compared to alternative illuminating technologies. So there is less consumption of construction materials such as wood. This freedom can even offer ecological and budgetary benefits with LEDs saving construction material costs.

The Bath Furniture concepts with LED illumination consist of semiconductor diodes. The use of such chip technologies allows very beautiful lightening effects/moods. Meanwhile, the chips can dose the action of each LED in an intelligent and energy saving way. Customers profit by the longer product lifecycles and lower energy costs. Finally, LED technology is set to become cheaper with technical progress.
