Alumil India has introduced Loop 80; a certified aluminium as raw material with 80% recycled material. This follows the success of Loop 60, the company’s first certified recycled aluminium introduced in 2023. The upgrade results in an 87% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the carbon footprint of primary aluminium production. Loop 80 also complements Alumil’s participation in the REcycling technologies for circular aluminium (REcAL) project, an initiative to revolutionize aluminium recycling. The ground-breaking innovation is one of the world’s few certified recycled aluminium options for architectural systems globally, including India.

“We have achieved an impressive 80% recycled content, which can be made available to high-specification projects seeking international sustainability certifications like LEED and BREEAM. With Loop 80, we are pushing the boundaries of circular economy practices, reducing CO2 emissions and minimizing environmental impact,” says Theodoros Axouristos, MD, Alumil India.
