“WAT is dedicated to exploring architecture and culture through guided architectural journeys to around 40 locations worldwide, curated by distinguished architects and professionals. WAT has also organised The Masterclass series of workshops and seminars aimed at stimulating dialog around architecture, art, design and culture. The new initiative WATconnect will present an architecturally immersive travel experience to a different location every month. It intends to take participants through the minds behind the growing architectural developments, and to share design methodologies and brainstorm,” says Brijesh Shaijal, Founder, WAT. A selected team of 15 from the architect, curator and student fraternity will be guided to the architectural practices of upcoming architects. The first WATconnect series will be set in Cochin from June 14 to16, 2019 with the agenda of connecting with nationally and internationally well-known architects and architectural practices that stand at the forefront of design today. In Cochin, the team will take a tour through the works of architects Krishnan, Jacob George, RGB, Roy Antony, Peter Gast and Cyril Paul.
