Speaking on the occasion Mr. Subhendu Ganguly, Managing Director, ALUK Building Systems said, "Centre of Excellence platform and onsite testing demo was a brilliant idea to define quality. We found the outcome very positive giving us an opportunity to network, communicate, exchange ideas, showcase our latest products and technology in the façade and fenestration industry to our existing and potential customers."

The product spectrum at FFI includes structural and profile systems, semi-finished materials, materials, production aids, glass, glass products, hardware, fixing and safety equipment, shading and ventilation equipment, machines, tools, operating systems etc.

Now the sixth edition of the show will take place at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India from the 25th – 27th February, 2016.

Conducive business and investment opportunities

50% of the demand for construction activity in India comes from industrial activities, residential and commercial development etc. The Indian construction industry is valued at over USD 126 billion. There is consistent demand for solutions for smart sustainable cities and integrated townships as also sustainable and environmental–friendly building materials.

Mumbai, the venue for the upcoming exhibition is the financial capital of India and accounts for slightly more than 6.16% of India's economy. The city is growing at an annual rate of 3.09 percent and in another 23 years, its size will double, which augurs well for the construction industry.

This is also further reiterated by Ms. Sonia Prashar, Managing Director, Nürnberg Messe India, "Being the economic hub of the country, the city has witnessed sustained growth. Technological advancements in building and construction industry are the need of the hour. This is one of the big reasons, which brings us back to Mumbai once again. The 2016 edition is expected to witness a substantial increase in the number of exhibitors and the gross exhibition space."

As per the industry estimate, the total size of the Indian window, door and façade industry is over Rs.10,000 crore (USD 2 billion); with over 80% of it being unorganised. The rising middle-class population in India has created a market for the façade and fenestration products, offering new opportunities for growth.
