Protecting the environment as individuals, minimalism but with the richness of materials, and pastel shades will define the interiors
Metal and metallic colours, nature-inspired colours, lots of natural plants and greenery in living spaces - be it in the form of herb gardens, vertical garden walls, or indoor plants. This is largely propelled by the increasing pollution in cities, global warming, increasing urbanisation, a growing need to take back control of our immediate environment, and acceptance of the role we individually play in protecting our environment.

Metals will continue to dominate and play a leading role in providing a natural richness to interiors. We also expect to see an emergence of pastel colours inspired by the fashion industry. The focus will be on fusing minimalist looks with richness of material be it wood, marble or metal.

The classic style will be in demand, albeit in a small measure - perhaps as an accent piece or fused with a contemporary sensibility. Nostalgia and a desire for richness after the frugality of the past years will propel this emergence.
