Manoj Wahi, President, FSAI Hyderabad Chapter, said, “FESA 2025 reflects FSAI’s mission to promote a safe and secure built environment through deeper collaboration between government bodies, developers, consultants, and technology providers. The seminar showcased practical solutions and best practices applicable to both new and existing high-rise projects across Hyderabad and other fast-growing cities.”
V. Srinivas, National President of FSAI, highlighted the organisation’s ongoing efforts to work with central and state authorities to strengthen life-safety codes and drive effective implementation. He said that FESA 2025 further advanced this agenda by aligning industry stakeholders on standards, competency building, and technology adoption for tall buildings nationwide.
The first day of the seminar featured technical sessions and panel discussions on Firefighting and Life Safety Design, led by C. Lakshmi Prasad, former Director of the Telangana State Fire Service and Civil Defence Training Institute; Electrical Safety and Resilience in High-Rise Buildings, presented by N. V. Subba Rao, Senior Advisor, Cholamandalam MS Risk Services; and Safety in Plumbing Systems, delivered by Dipen Mehta, Managing Director, Acqua Utility Designs & Management. Additional discussions covered topics such as Building Tall – Challenges in Construction and Maintenance and Life Safety and Fire Safety in Architectural and Structural Design. Day two will focus on advanced fire protection strategies, security, building automation, and emerging technologies for tall-building safety.
The seminar was supported by leading industry associations, including ISHRAE Deccan Chapter, Indian Plumbing Association – Hyderabad Chapter, Institute of Indian Interior Designers – Hyderabad Regional Chapter, Indian Green Building Council, International Copper Association India, ASHRAE Deccan Chapter, and CREDAI Hyderabad, underscoring the sector-wide commitment to safer and smarter tall buildings.
FESA 2025 was convened by Praveen Upadhyay under the leadership of the FSAI Hyderabad Chapter team, led by President Manoj Wahi and Secretary Huzefa Hussain, with support from CREDAI Hyderabad President and Guest of Honour Jaideep Reddy, along with other senior members. Office-bearers and chapter leaders from across India participated, reaffirming FSAI’s commitment to enhancing life safety and security in the country’s high-rise sector.
