As demand for HVAC systems continues to rise, the industry is facing a growing skills gap among technicians and professionals. To address this challenge and reinforce its commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable industry growth, Bosch Home Comfort India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Government of Gujarat, to establish HVAC Skill Development Centres across Northern Gujarat.
Under the collaboration, multiple HVAC Skill Development Centres will be set up, with the nodal centre to be established at Ganpat University, Mehsana. The initiative aims to deliver specialised technical training, enhance employability, and foster entrepreneurship in the HVAC sector, while aligning with Gujarat’s vision for industrial excellence and workforce development. It also supports the state’s broader economic objectives by creating a steady pipeline of skilled professionals equipped to meet current and future industry requirements.
The centres aim to train over 2,000 students and technicians across residential and commercial HVAC segments, making a substantial contribution to strengthening the industry’s talent pool.
Commenting on the partnership, Sanjay Sudhakaran, Managing Director, Bosch Home Comfort India Limited, said, “Through this collaboration, we are not only addressing the urgent need for skilled HVAC professionals but also empowering local talent to drive innovation and sustainability in the sector. Our focus on advanced skills training and industry collaboration supports Gujarat’s development vision as well as India’s ambitious carbon-neutral goals.”
By partnering with CED and the Government of Gujarat, Bosch Home Comfort India Limited is leveraging one of India’s most progressive ecosystems for skill development. Supported by robust infrastructure, forward-looking policies, and the globally recognised Vibrant Gujarat platform, this collaboration is positioned to deliver scalable, industry-relevant training solutions that directly address the evolving needs of the HVAC sector.
The HVAC Skill Development Centre at Ganpat University is expected to be established and inaugurated within the next three to six months, followed by the rollout of structured training programmes. The facility will feature state-of-the-art HVAC laboratories with live systems, smart classrooms equipped with advanced simulation tools, and access to Bosch’s proprietary energy-efficient technologies, including Nano Tech Ultra systems. These facilities will provide hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies, preparing trainees for real-world industry applications.
The curriculum will be jointly developed by experts from Bosch Home Comfort India Limited, Ganpat University, and CED, and will be fully aligned with NSDC standards. Training will be delivered by certified instructors and Bosch engineers through a blended learning model that integrates classroom instruction with practical application. Key focus areas will include HVAC installation and maintenance, energy efficiency and intelligent cooling systems, industry-standard safety protocols, troubleshooting, and essential soft skills for customer engagement.
Graduates of the programme will be equipped to pursue careers in HVAC and air conditioning, building automation and energy management, facility management, and technical services, supporting a wide range of industries dependent on advanced climate control solutions. Upon successful completion, trainees will receive industry-recognised certification and placement support through Ganpat University, Bosch’s partner network, and collaborations with local industries, enabling a smooth transition into the workforce.
By positioning Mehsana as a strategic hub for this initiative, the programme will promote localised talent development, address regional skill shortages, and enhance employment opportunities in HVAC and allied sectors. The initiative is expected to create a sustainable ecosystem that delivers long-term value to both local communities and the broader industry.
