Sunil Kant Munjal led Hero Realty Pvt Ltd (HRPL) was bestowed the prestigious IGBC Gold Rating for their Saheb Project situated in Sector 104 along the Dwarka Expressway, for following green building principles. HRPL operates under the Hero Homes brand in Ludhiana, Mohali, and Gurugram, with each project epitomizing sustainability and luxury living.
HRPL has made the IGBC gold rating a mandatory standard across all Hero Homes projects. “The Saheb project blends luxury with sustainability, with their environmentally conscious design - from utilizing energy-efficient building materials to implementing water conservation systems,” remarks Dr. Dharmesh Shah, CEO, HRPL, “Sustainable living extends beyond mere reduction of our carbon footprint or conservation of water; it encompasses nurturing a lifestyle that respects and preserves our natural resources for the prosperity of future generations.”
The green concepts and techniques in the building sector can help address national concerns like water efficiency, energy efficiency, and reduction in fossil fuel use, handling of consumer waste and conserving natural resources. Most importantly, these concepts can enhance occupants’ health and well-being. Today, the existing residential stock is a significant consumer of resources. It also presents tremendous opportunities to enhance efficiency of resource use. There are millions of residential societies that can address resource efficiency while enhancing quality of life. Against this background, IGBC has formed a technical committee to establish the renowned Green Residential Society rating system to establish standards in designing sustainable societies.
