AkzoNobel India introduces pioneering paint to support infrastructure plans
The Indian government’s efforts to provide the country with world class infrastructure have been boosted by the introduction of a first-of-its-kind anti-carbonation paint developed by AkzoNobel.

Dulux Professional Weathershield Anti-Carb is a water-based coating which can protect steel reinforcement in concrete from corrosion. Compliant with the specifications of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the multiple features contained in the new product mean it can also withstand the harshest climactic conditions.

Powered by Carbon Shield Technology, it bridges a current gap in the market and could play a major role in helping to support India’s infrastructure agenda. The new product also offers resistance against fungus, algae and UV rays.

Rajiv Rajgopal, MD of AkzoNobel India said, “Infrastructure will be a huge facilitator for India's growth, as well as helping to improve the quality of life. There’s currently very strong demand for corrosion resistant, sustainable products and we hope to contribute by launching this exciting new paint technology. We’re committed to providing more innovative, sustainable products.”
