Kone Elevator to set up a new plant

Kone Corporation, the 8.6 billion euro finish escalator and elevator major is setting up a new plant near Sriperumbudur. We have been selling in India for the last 25 years and continue to expand our volume. Considering the long-term need for volume, we are building a large facility, said its President. The new facility will be coming up on 18 acres plot. The company has a plant spread over 8.8 acres in Chennai. The civil work for the new plant has started and the factory will be ready by 2018. The entire production lines of the existing plant would be shifted to new facility when it is ready, he added.
