India's leading business conference for the kitchen and cabinetry segment India Kitchen CongressTM (IKC) is set to return with its 6th edition on March 15-16, 2016 at The Leela Ambience, Gurgaon. The most awaited event of the industry will be a two-day conference which will decode the 'Make in India' movement.

IKC will witness presentations, along with an exhibition and the most awaited India Kitchen CongressTM Awards 2016 which honour the best minds from the industry each year. Industry experts, market leaders and investors from India and overseas will present new ideas and discuss business opportunities through panel discussions, workshops and talks. At the exhibition, the best brands will make a presence and showcase their latest innovations/products.

Modular kitchens have become the defining element of new construction and interior spaces, and their design is increasingly impacting the intrinsic value of real estate. IKC provides architects and designers critical inputs as far as the kitchen space is concerned, besides giving them the knowledge for setting up captive design and production capabilities.

Hettich, the world's leading fittings specialist for the furniture industry, will be the Platinum Sponsor for IKC 2016. Coming together of these two brands will provide a welcome boost to the fast growing kitchen industry and design profession, wherein Hettich's legendary domain knowledge will be channelized through IKC's unique knowledge platform over two days.

Franchising Association of India (FAI), India's apex franchising industry body, will be the Knowledge Partner for the conference. FAI's alliance with IKC is acknowledgement of the fact that the modular kitchen industry can grow faster by leveraging the franchise business model, just as it has done in other countries across the world. FAI, which has over 150 leading brands as its members including kitchen manufacturers, will conduct presentations and workshops regarding various aspects of franchising in the Indian context.

IKC is produced by Kitchen Review, India's largest business magazine for the kitchen and cabinetry sector. According to its publisher and managing editor Deepak Gupta, "Year on year IKC has been providing a preview of how the industry is likely to grow in the coming times. This year the focus is on Make in India and how the Indian industry can grow to a global scale."

Another star attraction of the event will be the India Kitchen CongressTM Awards, which recognise individuals, companies and concepts for their contribution to the industry. The categories for which people can send in nominations, for themselves or anyone else, are Kitchen Professional, Kitchen Retailer (Standalone), Kitchen Retailer (Multiple Outlets), Innovative Kitchen Product (Appliances, Furniture Fittings, Materials & Finishes are the sub-categories), Kitchen Component Supplier, and Kitchen Designer Award.

The response to IKC has been growing each year and this 6th edition promises to keep up the momentum. Every year this knowledge platform becomes a meeting ground for professionals to discuss ideas, demonstrate products, and strategise business moves.
