How is the company meeting the requirements of architects, interior designers and real estate developers?

Four decades of working with natural stone has shaped HMG’s deep understanding of natural stones, design and application across residential, commercial, office, hospitality, show rooms and architectural spaces.

We have one of the largest curated collections of futuristic designs and colours, featuring over 350+ varieties of natural stones and 250+ textures, along with custom finishes, offering limitless design possibilities.

We handpick only the rarest and finest natural stones from the deepest quarries, and the stones are chosen for character, quality, and longevity. For architects, developers and designers, the appeal lies in scarcity and individuality. Each slab carries unique mineral compositions and patterns, features that cannot be replicated industrially. This makes natural stone not merely a building material but a design asset, particularly in luxury residential, hospitality and commercial projects.

We import from over 50+ countries and export to more than 5 countries, including the Middle East, Europe, and USA. We offer 10% of the Earth’s natural stones like Marble, Granite, Onyx, Travertine, Shell Stone, Limestone, Sandstone, Quartzite and Dolomite.

We do over 250+ finishes and textures including Thermal, Areka, Hones, and exotic textures such as baby bamboo, scratch, linear, and bangle finish. Currently, we are seeing a rise in the demand for marble, quartzite and onyx. These can be used in floorings, to make feature walls, headboards, external and internal façades, and even in garages ––– depending on the stones’ material composition.

Where can HMG stones be experienced or purchased?

We have opened HMG experience centres in Bengaluru. These are designed to move stone selection beyond catalogues. Conceived as curated spaces, these centres allow clients to engage with the origin, texture and application of each material. The intent is to make selection a more informed and immersive process, reflecting broader trends in luxury retail and design consultation.

Please name some projects where HMG materials have been used.

Our stones have been used in a range of projects across geographies. In India, HMG has contributed to developments such as UB City in Bengaluru and government infrastructure including Vikas Sabha. Internationally, it has supplied materials for projects including Trump Towers and commercial developments in Manhattan, as well as associations with institutions such as Bank of America and Lincoln Center. These projects underscore HMG’s role as a backend enabler in high-visibility architecture, rarely seen, but often foundational.

What maintenance do these stones require?

There is no lifespan for natural stones and that is the beauty of it. They have been used to build the greatest structures in the world like monuments, churches, and palaces that have stood the test of time.

As regards maintenance, the stones must be used where they are the most suitable. Sealants should be used in areas such kitchen countertops, island kitchens, and bathrooms. It is best to avoid using chemicals while cleaning the floor where materials with higher porosity such as whites, for instance. But it is very essential that the post purchase laying process is done by a professional layer.

What processes do the stones undergo?

The natural stone sector is often characterised by fragmentation and inconsistent standards. HMG has sought to differentiate itself through process discipline. It is amongst the first in the country to secure both ISO 9001:2015 certification and Japanese 5S training (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain), with disciplined processes, operational excellence and globally benchmarked standards. signalling a focus on operational efficiency, safety and quality management.

We undertake continuous exploration of new textures, finishes and applications to stay ahead of evolving and futuristic designs and architectural needs, thereby meeting the needs of architects, interior designers, and developers with consistent quality, reliable delivery, global design standards and futuristic design options.

Our fully automated Italian processing facility is equipped with slim wire saw machines, 84-bead multi-wire cutting machine, and a dedicated epoxy line, enabling high levels of precision, custom cutting and globally consistent finishing. Precision cutting, surface treatment and quality control determine whether a slab meets the expectations of architects and global clients.

What sustainability goals does the company follow?

Sustainability is integral to HMG, with solar-powered green operations, rainwater harvesting, water treatment with recycling systems, and responsible replantation practices that ensure long-term environmental stewardship.
