Looking at the scarcity of land and increasing demand of workspace sustainability can only be the solution to meet the pressure. The architects have been playing a vital role in inducing sustainability with their innovative ideas and incorporation of advanced technologies.

Currently, when we talk about sustainability, the focus is more on public energy dashboards that make users of buildings more aware of energy they consume at work, as well as energy dashboards for management that help managers get better insights into energy consumption in their buildings. On the individual front, workshops and media can motivate users to save energy whenever they have opportunities to do so.

The Building Automation can help in controlling the energy consumption. Smart devices using intelligent algorithms can ensure both constant energy-saving and cost of operation. Sustainable Buildings can help users to become more aware of energy consumption and what they can do to save energy. Let’s make it a drive towards making our buildings energy neutral.

My project TDK-EPCCOS which is a Japanese-German multinational company manufacturing electronic components in HSIIDC, Bawal. The interior environment created is uniform in the entire plant and office block and is maintained throughout the year. The building has been designed to sustain all dynamics of expansion and all kind of upgradation in manufacturing process. The man and material movement, the raw material, and finished products movement, the workers change rooms and essential facilities have all been designed to achieve the maximum production. The building is also sustainable when it comes to energy and water conservation. The right orientation of openings and usage of highly energy-efficient glass has played a major role in controlling the energy consumption.
