Creative fields are seeing many innovations in our country, which has had a slow but steady growth in real estate with some significant developments in the last decade. The designs have begun to blend with the innovative technology available. Architects and designers are now keeping one eye in the future with one on the past with regards to keeping a healthy balance of our rich cultural disposition and global interventions.

Designing is about imagination. Technology is a medium. Once an idea is conceived, technology will assist in that direction. Design tools today are assisting in optimizing human resource and avoid duplication of work.

Indian real estate is still unexplored largely in tier 2-3 cities.
If the construction in these cities is to be encouraged and newer techniques have to assist the industry, then both the distribution channel for materials to reach the source as well as the skill set for implementation will need to be developed.

Architecture has always been tectonic. Material, whether traditional or new age, will continue to be a part of design. Their selection will be determined on numerous factors and will vary from project to project. For example, availability, cost, skilled labor for executing them vs. indigenous construction, are some factors that will determine usage of materials for a project.

Urban projects with input higher costs of construction will be the frontrunners for construction techniques like precast, PEB, drywall, etc. The acceleration of construction phase and lesser loads on high density projects will be some of the reasons to consider these techniques.
