Sanjay Jain
Established in 2008, Pacific Europlast (I) Pvt. Ltd. is an innovative and professional company engaged in research, development and supply of uPVC window systems across India. Over the years, as an effective and durable alternative to wood, aluminum, and steel, the company has developed a separate line of uPVC products meant for Indian climatic condition offering tilt-n-turn, fully reversible pivot, and vertical sliding systems. It also has solutions for internal partitions with an exhaustive and exclusive range in double/triple glazing.

The company's brand architecture comprises three brands: Euro Plast covers uPVC windows & doors; Mozart represents hardware for windows & doors; and uPVC profiles manufactured in Alwar (Rajasthan) and China, while Ozcelik is the Turkish giant of profile fabrication machinery for all the materials – uPVC, aluminium, and wood, for which the company is the sole distributor in India. The company has 20 fabricators spread across the country while its own fabrication plant is in Rithala, New Delhi with a capacity to produce 80 windows per day in two shifts whereas its profile manufacturing unit has 600 tonns capacity.

"Our centralized location always provides us an edge over our competitors and we are comparatively quicker in all the services starting from surveying, quoting, installing, and on-going technical support with a shorter lead time and faster delivery onsite," says Mr. Sanjay Jain, the company's Managing Director. "The heavy duty multi-chamber system from Europlast offers everything for high quality windows including tilt-n-turn, casements, inward and outward opening, friction stay, tilt and slide, slide & fold, fixed elements, etc. With these many options, we can supply as per the demand," he asserts.

We have setup an integrated system for site inspection and installation of products onsite. We, at Europlast, also provide product quality inspection services to enterprises," avers Mr. Jain adding that the company gets engaged with the clients for help and advice right from planning and designing to the execution of the project. "In fact, for making it easy for our valued customers, we have developed the first-of-its-kind 'android application' to help our customers get easy quotes on various sizes of windows by simply putting in the measurement. This application can easily be downloaded from android play store on any cell phone based on android platform."

Speaking on why uPVC should be preferred over other building materials, he says, "uPVC has been made resistant to ultraviolet rays, increases the durability of the material and keeps it always in new condition. Besides, uPVC is energy-efficient, environment friendly, fire-retardant, economical and maintenance free, has strong resistant to weather and water, and helps gain extremely high sound and efficient thermal insulation. When it comes to providing customer satisfaction, uPVC has found a sustainable future ahead in the Indian building product industry."

According to him, layman doesn't know much about all these benefits of this material. "To percolate these aspects of uPVC, we personally meet industry stakeholders, besides demonstrating in malls and at places where construction activities are going on. We also place canopies and let people know about the benefits associated with this material. All this is apart from participating in concerned industry exhibitions," he says lamenting that there is no promotional step from the government yet in this direction. "As far as architects and consultants are concerned, they are the influencers and in most of the instances, the decision makers. We arrange architect meets every quarter in different cities. In fact, we do have special discount package for them in our kitty."

Divulging on the potential segments for uPVC window systems, Mr. Jain says, "While residential has started turning to uPVC, hospitality and healthcare industries are the two next promising segments showing immense growth potentials. For hotels, uPVC is the most suitable to bring comfort to the guests as it helps keep them cool and at the same time, away from the outside world owing to its unmatched thermal and sound insulation properties. What's more, it facilitates faster completion of the projects as it can deliver finished products in 60% less time when compared to the mostly preferred wooden windows."

Mr. Jain informs that the company is currently associated with two big names in the realty world – Ansal Construction and Supertech for 2,000 and 3,000 windows, respectively. Apart from metros, the company expects more business to come from tier II and tier III cities which include Ludhiana, Raipur, Patna, Siliguri, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, etc. for the next round of growth.
