Evolve Interiors and Exteriors Solutions was founded by my father Himanshu Shah and me in 2014. Our penchant for innovation led us to pioneer the concept of Liquid Metal Finishes - a revolutionary process that will change the way the design industry works with metal in India. My father has over three decades of experience in the manufacturing sector and expertise in the surface coatings industry, while I hold a master’s degree from Imperial College Business School, London. Having acquired the know-how for this international technology from an Australian counterpart, we are now indigenously manufacturing the finishes in our factory in Mumbai.
We forayed into Decorative Concrete Finishes to cater to the dynamic needs of architects and interior designers with over 4500 design options. Today, we have the largest collection of Rust finishes in India and can custom match any metal or concrete design. We supply metal and concrete finishes in the form of wall panels and material kits, as well as execute the finishes on-site.
All our finishes are environment-friendly and non-hazardous. The thickness of the finishes ranges from 1mm to 5mm and can be applied on any base substrate like wood, MDF, glass, leather and even paper. The finishes are suitable for interior and exterior use and can be used across walls, furniture pieces, ceilings, facades and even doors. Our range of Liquid Metal finishes are supplied in a Ready to Install Panel form, while the Decorative Concrete finishes can also be availed in a Do-It-Yourself kit.
We often work with Architects and Interior Designers to custom produce unique furniture pieces, deco-ware and artefacts. The interior finishes of this private residence have been done using Liquid Metal and Decorative Concrete finishes. The living room walls have been designed using the Porcelain Misty Surf, a popular concrete texture. The finish has a thickness of 3-5mm and has been done on-site by our team of contractors. Also seen is Evolve’s Antico Hickory finish on the internal pillars, while the external pillars are clad with shera boards that have been finished using the Antico Hickory rust finish. A copper teal patina panel as artwork adds colour to the living room. According to Ar. Shresht Kashyap, rust coloration has an abstract feel, which makes it highly versatile as it can be easily incorporated into modern, vintage or contemporary interiors, and when combined with tones of orange and brown, it evokes a sense of warmth and earthiness.

Finish: Rio Stripes Copper Teal Patina Finished Beams and Fissure Frostine Gold Finished Shutters
This Rustomjee showroom flat has copper finished wall panels to design the beams. Seen in this project is our popular Rio Stripes Copper Teal Patina finish. A unique quality of liquid metal finish is its ability to control the ageing process and therefore the colouration of the oxidation of the metal. The finishes can be achieved in varied intensities and depth; ranging from green to blue, for the copper patina finish. Also seen on the shutter is the Fissure Frostine Gold finish from our range of Decorative Concrete Finishes.

The Kanakia Hollywood wall entrances have been designed using concrete finishes, which are made of concrete and proprietary binders, and are textured using various tools and techniques. Seen in the images is our popular Monterrey Noir Beauty finish, which can be customized in any colour to suit the interior look. The thickness of the finish ranges from 3mm to 7mm and can be used on any base substrate like wood, MDF, glass, leather, and even paper. The finishes are suitable for interior and exterior use and can be applied across walls, furniture pieces, ceilings, facades and even on doors.
Project: Lonavala
Finish: Rust Finished 3D Wall Panel and Aluminium Knockdown finished Bar
The entrance wall of a Villa in the North Point area of Lonavala was finished using Evolve India’s range of liquid metal finished wall panels. The panel was manufactured using a MDF board and finished with real rust. A unique quality of Evolve India’s liquid metal finishes is its ability to control the ageing process and therefore the colouration of the oxidation of the metal. The finishes can be achieved in varied intensities and depth; ranging from yellow to orange to brown to black for the rust finish. The total thickness of these 3D panels is 12mm, with the rust coating thickness being 2mm. Our liquid metal finishes use real metal in a soluble form to create a thin layer of decorative metal finish. The bar table has been finished using an aluminium knockdown finish with a custom design in splatter form.

Evolve India finished 9000 sqft of the exterior of this bungalow located opposite the Juhu Starbucks using Antico Hickory Finish. The rust finish was applied onsite by Evolve’s team.
