glass stronger than steel
Scientists at Yale University have developed a new type of glass that is stronger than steel, thus paving way for its applications in various industries. They have devised a dramatically faster way of identifying and characterizing complex alloy known as bulk metallic glasses (BMGs), a versatile type of pliable glass that is stronger than steel.

BMGs are metal alloys composed of three or more elements such as magnesium, copper , and yttrium The glass can be used for producing hard , durable , and seamless complex shapes that no other metal processing method can. About 120,000 metallic glasses have so far been produced to date.
