Crescent Moon Tower
Judging by its model, the concept of Dubai’s Crescent Moon Tower, which is awaiting official approval, is a half-moon-shaped structure and is not just stunning but has also become centers of attraction globally. Dubai already has some iconic buildings, including Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world and the Dubai Mall also the world’s biggest but in spite of this, the city’s quest to add amazing buildings never seems to end as Dubai Crescent Moon Tower is going to be the latest and tallest as per the proposal submitted by the American design company, Transparent House. The Crescent Moon Tower is proposed to be erected in Za’abeel Park in Dubai. The design, a down-turned half-moon, is meant to symbolize the Islamic insignia of a crescent moon.

As per reports, it equally stands for Dubai’s search for state-of-the-art technologies and architecture as a manifestation of the modern level of technical and economic development of the Emirate. According to the design, the structure will accommodate a children’s library, a conference facility, a restaurant, multiple cafes and an open-air observation platform apart from residential areas. If approved, the structure could be ready in five years. Similarly, there is another architectural concept that is also generating a great amount of buzz these days. One is award-winning British architect Norman Foster’s SkyCycle in London, a 200-km-long network of elevated car-free pathways for cyclists that will be built above existing suburban train lines. If approved, it is not just going to become realty but will also create a cycling utopia and would be much cheaper as compared to constructing flyovers or tunnels.
