Häfele, the world leader in furniture and kitchen fittings, has over the last few years expanded its global assortment portfolio to include a sophisticated range of built-in home appliances. This global strategy was an organic move considering that the company has deep understanding and technological know-how in the furniture and kitchen segments. The extension of its product portfolio from hardware fittings to built-in appliances, kitchen sinks and faucets and even counter top surfaces was thus a natural transition, enabling the Häfele Group to cater to its global customer segments with a holistic solution-based approach.

Hafele South Asia
Häfele India was one of the first subsidiaries of the worldwide group to enter the appliances business in India and South Asia with a comprehensive range of built-in home appliances, and has since become one of the leading companies in the Indian Appliances market. Globally too, the home appliances segment has now become an important business for the Häfele Group and they are now aligning all local brands under one brand name: Hafele Appliances, which will continue to cater to different market segments with 2 distinct product lines:
  • Hafele's international range of luxury appliances of world-renowned brands like Asko (Cooking and Cleaning appliances from Sweden), Liebherr (Refrigeration and Cooling Appliances from Germany), and Falmec (technologically advanced extraction hoods from Italy).
  • Hafele’s In-house range of premium built-in, free-standing and counter-top appliances, developed keeping Indian cooking and cleaning patterns in mind while bringing in the trademark German quality and innovation.
Said Jürgen Wolf, MD – Häfele South Asia, at the recent inauguration of Häfele India’s first exclusive Design Showroom for Häfele Appliances in Bangalore, "Our objective is to leverage brand‚ Häfele‘ across all our solution-based categories. Home Appliances, in particular, is one of our fastest growing categories, and we want to have a unified brand approach across all markets, and thereby create a clear brand strategy for our appliances business here in South Asia, which will also benefit from the alignment with the global strategies of the Häfele Group."
