Aluplast Extrusion Plant
aluplast India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of aluplast GmbH, Karlsruhe, Germany, recently opened its new plant in Vadodara, GJ, extruding highly energy efficient uPVC window profiles. The new plant was inaugurated by aluplast Founder and Chairman Mr. Manfred J. Seitz and aluplast CEO, Mr. Dirk Seitz, alongside many national and international dignitaries of the building and fenestration industry as well as other officials and many honourable guests.

Only one year after the ground breaking ceremony, aluplast took over the facility in Vadodara and has already been extruding for a couple of months. All of aluplast's technologies come into operation such as the co-extrusion of gaskets which has been standard at all aluplast extrusion facilities for many years.

Along with extruding, aluplast also starts the lamination of window profiles in several colours in April 2016. The plant uses aluplast's unique tropical mix compound which is especially designed to prevent the discolouring of profiles in regions with very high UV radiation like India. This lead free compound is produced and supplied directly from aluplast, Germany.

The new plant is a fully integrated part of the extrusion network of aluplast and the quality is therefore in line with the aluplast quality standard worldwide. The plant also functions as a service hub. A technical centre which has been established alongside the extrusion facilities, equipped with German and Italian uPVC window making machines, is operative. Here, aluplast offers trainings for the teams of its business partners, on window fabrication and related topics, on a weekly basis. aluplast is proud to contribute to the skills development of the Indian window sector in this way.

Managing Director, aluplast India, Mr. Arun Sharma and Market Manager Asia, Africa, and North America, Mr. Christian Feldmann, explain: "At aluplast we believe in the potential of the Indian fenestration market and hence will keep investing here to strengthen our footprint. For us, quality is of the highest priority in order to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Our Indian products' quality is in line with aluplast's global standard. We ensure that the quality of our systems always remains the same, whether they are produced in India or internationally."

Mr. Feldmann, a German National who recently relocated to India along with his family to monitor proceedings in Vadodara along with MD Sharma and other Senior Managers further says: "After the experience we gained in the past 10 years in India, we see the fenestration industry on a good path. We believe in the market's potential and so decided to invest heavily. Every year we will continue to spend a multiple of the previous year's revenue to strengthen our footprint."

Mr. MD Sharma commented: "Our systems offer energy efficiency, thanks to their superior insulation properties. Also, there is much less maintenance required with our products and especially for India's cities with their heavy traffic volume they provide great sound insulation. He further adds: "aluplast offers the widest product range in the market. As we are getting directly served by aluplast Germany, we can combine both, locally manufactured products which are in line with the local market's needs as well as systems which are part of the German product portfolio. In that way, we can offer a great range from simple sliding systems to high end lift-and-slide solutions."
