Indo Innovations, established in 1995, is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of a wide range of office architectural products such as panel-and desk-based workstations, executive tables, filing cabinets and storage systems, café furniture, lounge furniture, customized modular furniture, retractable writing pad armrests, retractable training tables and seating solutions for auditoriums and stadiums.
We ventured into the office furniture market with the aim of meeting the growing need of office space in the government sector. In 2009, the company started its own brand ‘Indo’, and extended its client list from the government sector to the corporate world, and has verticals like stadium seating, lighting, and flooring, besides office furniture.
We are associated with internationally acclaimed brands of USA, Malaysia, Singapore, China, and New Zealand, who are exporting a variety of office equipment to over 100 countries. Our clientele for premium furniture include major PMCs like Colliers, JLL, RRA and C&W, besides the Muthoot Group, Samsung, Max Financial Services, Thayagraj Stadium, DS Group, Godrej Properties, OYO, Erricson, Carnoustie, and major government projects like the High Court, NBCC, RITES, CPWD / PWD, ONGC, Parliament Division, etc. We also work with major architects like ARCOP, Mmoser, AVA, Adriance, VIA and NRM, to name a few.

We are also looking ahead to offer our clients a range of Sunon home furniture and kitchens from Europe, besides which, we are the exclusive dealer of Masland carpets in India. Masland is an American brand with a manufacturing unit in Asia as well. In the next phase, we are planning to have dealers pan India with our display centers across Tier 2 and 3 cities within the next three years.
What eco-friendly and sustainable measures are being taken for reducing wastage, bringing energy efficiency, and enabling recyclability during manufacturing?
The processes used in the manufacture of furniture include cutting, bending, molding, laminating, and assembly of materials such as wood, metal, glass, etc. However, the production process for furniture is not solely bending metal, cutting and shaping wood or extruding and molding plastics, as design and fashion trends play an important part in the production of furniture.
The integrated design of a product for both aesthetic and functional qualities is a major part of the manufacturing process, for which we have in-house design services. Furniture may be made on a stock or custom basis and may be shipped assembled or unassembled (knockdown).
What furniture materials are you dealing with?
Furniture may be made of any material, but the most common ones used in our company are metal and wood, and the equipment required to make a wooden table, for example, would be different from that used to make a metal one. A wooden table may have prelaminated particle/MDF board, metal/wooden legs, and a chair can have nylon base, fabric or mesh seat etc.
What are your furniture design considerations and challenges when planning for an office?
Ergonomics play an important role in designing. Style is the next thing that is blended with ergonomics to create a product that matches the taste of the clients and the health of the users. We have a range of furniture options from ergonomically designed chairs to height adjustable tables; from well designed conference tables to comfortable and elegant lounge chairs; from spacious cabinets to the latest workstations, all of which increase employee productivity in one way or the other.
